- FFPE Slides (Only if FFPE scrolls unavailable): 10 unstained FFPE slides, 10 microns thick, with tissue size >5 mm or surface area >25 mm2
- Other formats: Acceptable depending on pathology lab practices. In general, submit material totaling > 100 µm thickness, with individual scroll ≤ 25 µm thick.
- Block selection: please choose the best block for recut, with the most representative tumor, optimal surface area, minimal necrosis and highest tumor content. A minimum of 10% of tumor fraction is recommended, i.e. neoplastic cells need to comprise at least 10% of the total nucleated cell population.
- Osteosarcoma cases: please send the most representative sample, preferably tumor-containing non-decalcified soft tissue blocks. Bone specimen should be non-decalcified. If neither soft tissue block nor non-decalcified bone block are available, contact us at CustomerCare@VetOmicsAnimalHealth.com, decalcified bone tissue has been successful with Canine CGP, though non-decalcified sample remains preferred.
